Ed’s corporate career over the past 26 years has evolved through various avenues throughout private industry, public industry, and government sectors of the business community.
His professional experiences have spanned technical theory, operations, instructional, quality assurance, and leadership positions within the Nuclear Power Industry, as well as technical, instructional, management, sales and customer service at Director and Executive staff levels in the Semi-conductor Equipment Manufacturing Industry. These positions provided vast amounts of experience in customer service, organizational behavior, teamwork & team building; budgeting, cost controls & financial management; sales, projections, account management & targeted quota’s; to company directional planning and execution, including goal setting & performance management.
Ed owns his own business and knows what it takes to not only survive, but truly what it takes to “grow” a business successfully. He currently coaches a number of business owners in the Treasure Valley, and has been actively coaching/mentoring personnel successfully for over 15 years. He has trained, inspired, and motivated personnel to that next level of success throughout his career.
As Owner and President of ETR Business Integrity, Inc., his role involves coaching/mentoring business owners in growing their business to its highest level of profitability with the goal of freeing up more of the owner’s time for personal enjoyment. This occurs as Ed helps them increase sales and marketing effectiveness, implement efficient business systems, and build superior employee teams. The overall result is increased cash-flow and profitability with less time involvement from the owner. In other words, Ed coaches business owners to work “on” their business, not just “in” it.
We are excited to have Ed as a presenter this year and hope you will join him. To view a complete list of seminars and register visit us at www.BusinessDay2010.com

Dr. Shane Reeder – Executive Director Stevens-Henager College will be presenting how to use the Prometheus Process to Design your Company’s Future and Make it Happen May 19th, 11am at Business Builder Day 2010.
*************
*************
- Prometheus delivers a powerful message. You can control your destiny – if you are willing to shed yesterday’s thinking about business strategy and make the future what you want it to be!
- Transform your organization into a nimble, market-leading winner!
- Design and execute a Grand Strategy that everyone from the boardroom to the front line will share, understand, and execute!
- Shape Tomorrow before it shapes you!
When we asked Dr. Reeder to explain the benefits of the Prometheus Process and how he has used as the Executive Director of Stevens-Henager College, he gave us this answer:
“I was first introduced to the Prometheus Process strategic planning model in 2006, at a company training presented by Afterburner, a trainer in flawless execution. With that basic strategic planning model instruction, our company designed and implemented a 2006 strategic plan, we created a Future Picture.
As a company, we deepened our understanding of that planning process in 2007 and, I became one of four company executives to attend Colonel John Warden’s Prometheus Academy in Montgomery Alabama. We attended a weeklong training, immersed ourselves in the process and created a strategic plan for a fictitious company. Armed with that additional training, we planned and began executing a company-wide, four-year, strategic plan. A clear and compelling Future Picture was created.
Each of our campuses, including the Boise campus, subsequently put together a comparable fractal plan for 2010 as well as a 2007 fractal plan. We saw demonstrated success in 2007 due to our planning, but more significantly, we better learned to use the planning tools. I became one of the company trainers for strategic planning and have trained at the Boise and Salt Lake campuses and have been part of the corporate training team.
In 2008 and 2009, we continued, as a campus and as a region, to use the Prometheus Process to guide our yearly strategic planning. That process has become part of our culture and our thinking. Having become good at the process, we are now seeing the results of successful strategic planning. Over two years we have seen 184% revenue growth, 383% EBITDA growth, and a 255% student population growth.
I continue to train in the Prometheus Process. I train in an abbreviated format every month with the orientation of new employees. I train segments of the process quarterly and train in the full processes no less than two times per year.”
Dr. Reeder’s background as a trial attorney and his experience as a college instructor afford him a unique ability to present in an entertaining and informative way. He has been designated as a “1 in 100” instructor within the system. His teacher rating, with well of over 50 courses taught, is a 9.9 out of 10, measured by students in the areas of Curriculum Delivery, Instructional Design, Classroom Management, and Professionalism.
